Yet, sadly, faith, hope and love seem to be greatly lacking in much of our public lives today.Love is the greatest gift, and chapter 13 is often called The Love Chapter. Many wedding vows contain the passage which includes verses 4-13. Verse 13 says, "So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.".
In Scripture we learn that God is love ( 1 John 4:8) and that he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us — a supreme act of sacrificial love. Love is what motivated God the Father to send His only Son to die for us. Thus, love is the virtue upon which all Christian faith and hope now stand.FYXss.
